joining a committee
Our general membership requires no application! Just fill out this form, and you're in!
Committee membership offers more structured mentorship and skill development. You'll walk away with a clear deliverable each week. To ensure members get the full benefit from our committees, we require an application.
Data Science
Introductory committee, no prerequisites.
We'll ask about any prior experience just to establish a baseline for curriculum. We mostly care about your interest in joining & goals for the semester!
Machine Learning
Prerequisites: Data Science committee membership (equivalent: Data 8) & linear algebra.
We accept members who are able to quickly grasp complex technical ideas on a high level. ML is a broad field, so the pace here is faster.
Projects
Prerequisites: Data 8 & CS 61B.
Technical requirements vary each semester based on the organizations we partner with and their specific project needs. We prioritize effective collaboration and a solid grasp on DS + CS.
